Thieves & Lovers
Thieves & Lovers originally formed in sunny, sultry southern California in 2014. Citing influences like Jimmy Eat World, the Goo Goo Dolls, and The Replacements the band’s sound blends melodic vocals with tight guitar-driven arrangements.
Originally conceived as a side project for vocalist and guitarist Stoner, Thieves & Lovers became a full-time project upon relocating from Los Angeles, CA to Pittsburgh, PA in the summer of 2015. The band has steadily been gaining momentum through the release of a few very well-received EPs.
In 2014 they released their first self-titled EP under their own Royalty Classic Records imprint and began playing shows in the southern California area. In the spring of 2015 the band began the recording sessions for what would become the SEASONS record at Wandering Star Studio in Newport Beach, CA while continuing a steady show schedule. After relocating to Pittsburgh, PA in the summer of 2015 the record was completed at Echoes Recording Studio with producer Todd Stotler.
Released on Record Store Day of 2016, Thieves & Lovers’ sophomore album SEASONS builds upon the band’s melodic, guitar-based sound. The album garnered more attention, and received highly-positive press for the band as they continued their steady show schedule around the northeastern United States.
In early 2017 the band revealed they had been working on a new EP, and the single “Long Goodnight” was released in the spring ahead of the album of the same name. The song has been receiving positive press, as well as consistent airplay on terrestrial and digital radio stations.
Continuing to play as many shows as possible, the new album Long Goodnight is currently being mixed – with a scheduled release date of late 2017.
